Elyse Blackshaw is an artist & fashion illustrator based in London. She studied at BA hons Embroidery at  the Manchester School of Art in 2013 and MA Textiles later at the Royal College of Art in 2019.  With a focus on Mixed Media, her fashion illustration work evolved from a fascination with colour, texture and transforming spaces with playful illustrations.

 

Elyse's work embodies fluid lines and demonstrates an instinctive use of mark making to capture fashion, portraits and lifestyle. She uses a range of mixed-media to layer and alternate textures. Her work aims to visualise the feeling of excitement and imagination through colour and line work. 

 

For the past two years, Elyse has been a Graduate Fashion Week Judge for the Fashion Illustration Award and a Visiting Lecturer at the Manchester School of Art, Manchester Fashion Institute and the University for the Creative Arts.
