Working in different scales as an London Fashion Illustrator

Blog by London Fashion Illustrator Elyse Blackshaw

Fashion illustration extends beyond fashion. Fashion illustrators today use their style and artistry to take over new and unique spaces and products. Whether I'm tackling a massive 60-meter mural that's the talk of the town or delicately hand-painting tiny baubles, my journey as an artist has been a colourful adventure. Each project, big or small, brings its own set of challenges and joys, helping me grow and evolve as a fashion illustrator and contempoary artist.

Digital Magic with Procreate

When it comes to giant murals, it's all about meticulous planning, precision, and a dash of vision. Enlarging my designs to epic proportions means paying attention to every detail and understanding how the art will vibe with its surroundings. The result? A vibrant, larger-than-life experience that's sure to wow!

Playful and Colourful Creations

On the flip side, painting those tiny baubles is a whole different ball game. Each miniature surface is a canvas for abstract designs, demanding patience and precision to work on a sphere. These little gems may be small, but they pack a punch, drawing viewers into a world of miniature artistry.
